I’m coeliac and so is my mum and I’ve realised although the UK is getting way better at catering for us gluten dodgers, it’s still pretty hard to find places that are genuinely gluten friendly when you are out and about. So as a young london socialite, I’m going to start reviewing all my favourite gluten friendly eateries. Feel free to send me yours and I will check them out, although I’m only going to write them once I’ve actually tried them for myself so I’m confident in what I recommend.
We have two scores, one for overall experience including how good the food is, the atmosphere, the service and the other for the establishments expertise at helping people enjoy good food and be confident that they are avoiding gluten:
Overall scores: 1 awful, 2 stay home and cook, 3 does the job, 4 good strong choice 5 something special
Gluten dodging scores: 1 will make you ill or hungry, 2 – don’t have a clue and have no real options, 3 – know the basics but have limited options, 4 – good knowledge and solid options, 5 – know their stuff and actively cater for gf
